 The Student Oaths
STUDENT OATH - I
"I shall observe the tenets of Taekwon-Do
I shall respect the instructors, juniors and seniors
I shall never misuse Taekwon-Do
I shall be a champion of freedom and justice
I shall build a more peaceful world."
This oath is spoken by everyone at the beginning of each class to remind to use the tenets at all times, and also of our responsibilities to ourselves and to our community.
STUDENT OATH - II
"I shall respect my juniors and seniors
Both inside and outside of the dojang
I shall show courtesy to everyone I meet
I shall practice self-control in my actions and reactions
Always trying to be the best person I can be."
This oath is spoken by everyone at the end of each class, as a promise to continue to use the tenets and to be a leader, once the uniform is off and we are out in the world.
